Rubber Duck Kuala Lumpur

Rubberduck

Rubberduck is a café that opened in February 2015. When we first opened our doors, Rubberduck was situated in a 200-square foot space – a hole in a wall – that served cakes and coffee for customers to takeaway. We had no furniture, nor did we have any crockery that wasn’t disposable. However, not long after we opened, the café quickly and organically grew to have a breakfast and lunch menu, and makeshift al fresco seating.

A year and a half after opening, we felt like our shop was a little too small to house the growth that we were experiencing. So, in November 2016, we moved into a 2,000-square foot space two doors down from the original Rubberduck that now seats up to 85 people.

The current Rubberduck shares its space with Clubaloha, which is a fitness hub that has two studios, namely, Aloha Cycle Club and Aloha Muscle Club. The former caters for indoor-cycling enthusiasts, whilst the latter focuses on strength and conditioning as well as recovery classes. Clubaloha and Rubberduck have a symbiotic relationship: together they serve the community to provide workouts and food in a welcoming environment.

Rubberduck is open 7 days a week for cakes, breakfast, lunch and coffee. We pride ourselves in making fresh food, and everything that is served is made in-house. Our menu features mostly Western-style dishes, and is a combination of healthy and “naughty” items, meaning, you’ll be able to find a variety of salads and vegan options, but you’ll also find a cheeseburger and French fries. Aside from food, we also serve smoothie bowls and fresh, cold-pressed juices.
