Jalan Bellamy is named after Captain Henry Franklin Bellamy, former Selangor’s Deputy State Engineer. Among the projects that he have completed were the Pudu Jail and the Selangor-Pahang Trunk Road.
He was also the founding member of the Fire Brigade in 1883, Selangor Club in 1884 and the Sanitary Board in 1890.
