As you might saw some videos circulating in social media and messaging groups that Malaysians crowding at hypermarkets and markets to buy groceries.
Please worry not, as all groceries, hypermarkets and fresh markets are considered essential businesses. They are allowed to open provided all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered, of course. If you are still worried of the safety or you simply do not want the hassle of encountering any roadblock and authorities, just purchase it online.
With the technology that we have now, there are a number of major stores that we can purchase groceries and necessities online.
Here’s some of them.
Tesco Online
One of the biggest hypermarkets in Malaysia, now known as Lotus, but the online store is still using Tesco as it’s name. With trained personal shoppers, they will do their best to select the best product for your needs once you confirmed to purchase their selected wide range offers of fresh produce and groceries.
You can also book your slot of delivery from 8.00am to 10.00pm daily. If you do now want to rely on their delivery services, you can also opt to collect from the counter.

Jaya Grocer
Jaya Grocer, founded by the the Teng family is also one of the prominent grocery in the city. From fresh produce supplies to frozen foods, baking products, beverages, personal care, household products, they even sell pet products.

Happy Fresh
Technically, they do not have a brick and mortar store, but Happy Fresh offers a platform to buy from your favourite grocery store, supermarkets and hypermarkets. Some of the stores include Giant, Mercato, Village Grocer, TMC, Pasaraya Borong Matahari, Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Cold Storage, Aeon and many more. Choose the store and the items that you want to buy, and your assigned personal shopper will get it and deliver to you.

Mydin Express
Mydin, considered one of the largest homegrown Halal hypermarket and retail chain, also have their own online store. Ranging from fresh produces, drinks, lifestyle products, household supplies, pet foods, they also sell items for Muslim usage prayer mats and telekung.

So, just stay at home, make your orders, relax while waiting for the delivery to arrive.
