Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022: Two of Kuala Lumpur’s Bars is Listed in this Prestigious Award

The Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony is back again after a hiatus due to the pandemic despite a virtual ceremony last year. This year, the prestigious event for the industry welcomes bartenders, industry players and brand partners to Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok for the awards.

Kuala Lumpur has its fair share of celebration as two of the city’s bars were listed in the Asia’s Best 50. Bar Trigona was listed in no.29 and they have also won the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award 2022, meanwhile Junglebird is listed in no. 35 of the list.

Bar Trigona maintains its reign as the best Malaysian bar for the third consecutive year.

Despite not making into the Best 50, we also have Three X Co making into no. 70, Coley at no. 100 and Backdoor Bodega from George Town who made it at no. 97.

Last year, Bar Trigona was also listed at no.52 for the Best Bar in The World 2021.

The Asia’s Best Bars list is based on the votes of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy, which is made up of members of the bar industry, media and mixology experts in the region.

“Asia’s bars have shown remarkable resilience and growth in spite of the challenges of the past two years, and we continue to be proud to celebrate the talent and creativity on display in bars all across Asia,” said Mark Sansom, content director for Asia’s 50 Best Bars, in a statement.
