Merdeka 118 Memorialised Through Sketches and Drawings

While technology such as photography and videography may be a precise equipment to record stories and images in this era; drawings with inks and paints is a creative way of remembering histories.

Drawings and sketches may seem like merely an artwork to some, but it is one of the way where our community relive memories through the eyes of the artists. The creativity in these artworks are things that cannot be captured by technology, but rather the minds of the artists.

The Kuala Lumpur Urban Sketchers is an active group of creatives that come together on the streets from time to time to draw different parts of the city.

These are some of the beautiful sketches of the city’s newest skyscraper, Merdeka 118 by the members.
