Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022: Kuala Lumpur is in the list

For almost two years, it was a challenging period for restaurants with a total Movement Control Order (MCO) that restricts dine-in, and subsequently with limited dine-in capacity, and finally it is time to relieve from all those stresses as the restrictions are now lifted.

There is also something else to celebrate for, apart from restaurants are now back to business as usual. Last March, a couple of food and beverages ventures in Kuala Lumpur was listed among Asia’s best restaurant awards, Asia’s Best 50 Restaurants.

Asia 50 Best Restaurants

Dewakan is among the Best 50 list at number 50, while three others made it into the extended list with Nadodi at no. 62, Eat and Cook at no. 81 and Cilantro at no.93.

Eat and Cook also won a separate award, which is the American Express One To Watch Award 2022.

To date, Dewakan is the only Malaysian restaurant that has made it into the the list. Dewakan is a restaurant that embraces local ingredients and creatively crafting menus based on Malaysia’s specialties.
