If you’re a fan of Korean dramas, you might notice or heard of the name Paris Baguette somewhere in the shows. The name belongs to a Korean company and it is a global high-end bakery chain that first started up in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
The franchise brand grew to become the no.1 bakery in South Korea in 2004 and since then branched out to different countries including United States, Singapore, Vietnam, China and France.

Berjaya Food Berhad has signed the joint collaboration with the franchise brand that will bring in the bakery to Malaysia. The French-inspired bakery is set to open its first store in Klang Valley by the end of the year; with four more outlets in 2023.
To add to this, SPC Group, the company managing the franchise brand, has started building their regional manufactory and distribution centre in Johor; with plans to obtain Halal certification for the centre.

Some of Paris Baguette’s signatures to look forward to are the Chapssal (Sweet Rice) Doughnut, Croissant Doughnut, Peanut Crumb Bread, Vanilla Cream Bread, Tiramisu Tart and Crab Meat Croquettes.
As each of the brand’s global outlet will incorporate some local flavours in their offerings, we can expect some familiar ingredients in their menu too.
At present, the brand operates over 4,000 stores globally. If you’re a fan of pastries, this is something that you should keep your eyes on.
