Jalan Masjid India is a commercial street in downtown Kuala Lumpur. It runs from Jalan Melayu in the south to Jalan Bunus 6 in the north. In its present form, the stretch from Jalan Melayu to the junction of Lorong Masjid India, in front of its namesake Masjid India, is pedestrianised with a sheltered canopy. The rest of the road is a busy commercial area with mostly businesses operated by the Indian and Indian Muslim communities.
According to Kuala Lumpur Street Names, Jalan Masjid India was previous called Jalan Tun Tijah, after Tun Teja Menggala from Hikayat Hang Tuah, and before that, it was originally named Dickson Street, after Sir John Frederick Dickson, who is also the namesake for Port Dickson.
