Vietnamese coffee is unique and quite a popular type of coffee with its beans roasted between medium and dark. Unlike the regular coffees in its preparation, the Vietnamese coffee is made by passing hot water through the grounds into a cup that already contains condensed milk.
Other than the traditional type of coffee, many cafes have crafted modern types of Vietnamese coffees with different ingredients to offer different variety of drinks. Here’s some of the cafes in Kuala Lumpur that you may find Vietnamese coffees.

THE Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has directed for the former Federated Malay States (FMS) Survey Department building in Kuala Lumpur to be refurbished by Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh said the land was owned by the Federal Land Commisioner.
“Khazanah had informed us that it is still in the planning process and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will collaborate with them in the work process,” he said.
The FMS building, which has been abandoned for two decades, is located at the intersection of Jalan Raja and Jalan Tun Perak along the same row as the iconic Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad.

It was previously reported that the ceiling and wall of the building had collapsed, but confusion over ownership had delayed repairs.
This is the second time the building, designed by British engineer Arthur Denison Hubback and built in 1910, has suffered significant damage.
In late 2016, one of the dome’s spires collapsed, raising warning flags on the fragility of heritage buildings in the area.
The structure was designated as a heritage building under National Heritage Act 2005.

Kuala Lumpur has climbed 16 spots to become the world’s 73rd smartest city out of 142 cities, according to the 2024 Smart City Index (SCI) released by the Institute for Management Development (IMD) Smart City Observatory recently.
The report highlighted several commendable performances of KL, including the ease of online purchasing of tickets and accessibility of online job listings that make it easier to find work.
The report also commended the city’s health and safety structure, such as “arranging medical appointments online has improved access”, and mobility structures like “online scheduling and ticket sales have made public transport easier to use”.
However, the report found that traffic congestion, corruption, air pollution and affordable housing were among the most concerned issues in KL.
Smart City Observatory president Bruno Lanvin said cities must design and adopt strategies to resist the test of a future plagued with growing uncertainties.
He also said trust and good governance are growing in importance, and the significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in city design and management is set to increase.
Zurich retained the top spot for the fifth consecutive edition of the SCI in 2024, followed by Oslo, Canberra, Geneva, Singapore, Copenhagen, Lausanne, London, Helsinki and Abu Dhabi in the Top 10.
